Review of DOOM VFR on PS4 PRO | Unboxing AIM CONTROLLER

What can I say about the game? The plot here is quite simple, which is justified by the game itself – well, what kind of plot do you need in DOOM?? Well, in general, this is not a full-fledged continuation of the game, but a spinoff, just entertainment for PlayStation VR.

You get used to the role of a certain Dr. Pietersen, who is killed by a demon at the very beginning of the game, you awaken in some magical-scientific way, take up arms and begin to furiously take revenge on your offenders.

The game starts with a short tutorial in which you are taught basic things – how to walk, shoot, throw grenades, teleport. And it is precisely the last point – teleportation – that is the key point that distinguishes DOOM VFR from the “full-fledged” game of 2016.

Movements and turns in the game are carried out either in jerks or through teleportation. Now you will be able to finish off wounded glowing enemies using teleportation, which tears enemies apart from the inside. At the same time, at the moment you press the teleportation key, time in the game slows down. And this radically changes the gameplay itself. But I’ll tell you about this a little later.

In the game you will meet locations from the previous DOOM, as well as old opponents. They are all here – imps, mancubuses, possessed and other demonic entities. The game contains “nests”, which, like in DOOM 2016, will need to be cleared. We will also meet locations and references to characters known from the previous game, which is very pleasing. Also, weapons have migrated into the game for the virtual reality helmet, which we are given quite quickly at the very beginning of the game.

The graphics in the game are some of the best I’ve seen on PS VR. And this is really cool, because once you are completely immersed in the game, you stop noticing the slight soapiness and pixelated nature of what is happening. And when some healthy creature, like a mancubus, stands in front of you in all its demonic guise, the wildest adrenaline is produced.

When I talked about teleport, I https://moonrollcasino.co.uk/login/ mentioned that this feature pretty much changes the entire gameplay experience. And that’s true. For me, the game at some points turned into a turn-based strategy. You simply hold down the teleport button, think about where you will go crazy next time with a rocket launcher, mark in your head the next location where you wanted to move, that is, plan your further actions. At the same time, surprisingly, this does not affect the overall dynamics of the game. She is still driving, hurricane and fantastically pleasant in an old-school way.

You will die constantly in the game. Then die again, die and die. What would have happened if there had been no time dilation during teleportation, I don’t know. But this game mechanic is not only “new” for the DOOM game, but also an excellent way to “smooth out” the flaws of moving in VR. Constant teleportations prevent the game from losing its dynamics and drive.

However, when I talk about movement, one cannot fail to mention the imperfections of VR technologies. Please note, I’m not talking about the imperfection of the game itself, but about the imperfection of VR as a whole. Because at the current level of development of VR technologies without rails, scripting, which we saw, for example, in “The London Job” or “Until Dawn: RUSH OF BLOOD”, it is not possible to normally implement free movement without such teleports. At least if we are talking about the use of controllers like the PlayStation Move and Aim Controller, which give a new degree of freedom to the player, unlike the DualShock.

In general, immersing yourself in the game, you soon forget about the inconvenience caused by the need to move and turn in jerks, and for playing with the teleport theme, I simply give the authors a standing ovation. It fits in very organically and not only solves the problem of moving, but also gives new cool features, which is damn cool.

The game has an amazing soundtrack. All battles will be accompanied by simply epic guitar riffs. For this, the authors of the game have special respect.

What can you say about playing using the Aim Controller?? This is just a new level of sensations. You can rotate and view the weapon, shoot from behind or over obstacles. And by looking at the weapon from a certain angle, you can go through the texture and see that the authors hid real cartridges there, which are impossible to notice just while playing. However, you still won’t be able to shoot yourself. Aim Controller gives you freedom when shooting, but isn’t that what you need for VR?? You know, after this game I still wanted to play Firewall Zero Hour and see how using a controller is implemented there.

For comparison, I tried playing on a standard dual shock and… Well, it’s no better or worse, it’s just different, but I still ran the rest of the game on an aim controller. Sometimes, when using it, some bugs arise, but in general, it is simply wonderful for this game. It’s not for nothing that his support was added to this part of the game.

Is this game worth playing?? Undoubtedly. If you are a virtual reality explorer like me, then absolutely yes. You are a fan of thoughts, like I am a fan of him? Yes, feel free to grab the game from the PS Store.

This is an excellent attraction with optimal duration, a lot of features and mechanics. Just look at the use of power-ups, which makes teleport a weapon of mass destruction for demons.

Is it worth getting Aim Controller?? Hmm, perhaps to answer this question I need to play a couple more games with him. But for Doom VFR it fits just perfectly.

Yes, the game has some flaws and shortcomings, but guys, kamon, we only got “virtual reality for home use” in the form of PS VR a few years ago. And today it is, without a doubt, one of the best shooters for it.

By the way, at the end of this video I want to recommend you a cool book that I read a couple of weeks ago. This is the book "Lords of Doom" by David Kushner, which tells the story of the creation and influence of the doom game that changed the entire gaming industry in the 90s. I highly recommend reading it, because this is the story of what we really love – cool computer games!

Blood review

Those were the old days, those were the glory days. 1997. It was a long time ago (by the standards of the gaming industry, this is as long ago as Napoleon’s invasion of Russia), Sony Playstation, still the first, tore apart all its competitors, in Russia they still played dandy and sega, there was a year left before the release of half-life, Duke Nukem was completed many times, quake 2 was released only at the end of 1997 and during the pause, in May of this year the game was released, the debut project of the Monolith studio Productions. The game, if it were released now, would be branded with shame, accused, called one of the reasons for all crimes in the United States, and angry public organizations would hang the developers from the nearest lampposts. It was even banned (1997!) in some countries, despite the conventionality of the graphics. The game has become a cult favorite and is considered by some to be the best meat shooter ever. This is a Blood game.

RETURN OF AN OLD FRIEND
Our "hero" is Caleb. He is a gunslinger from the Wild West, a member of the Chernobog sect. This is a bloody God who wants to come into our world, clearly not in order to sow the eternal, good, reasonable. So Caleb serves him, kills on his orders and diligently plays the role of a faithful servant. He rises to the rank of head of the Cabal sect, he has a beloved girl, Ophelia. Life is good. But, there is always this but, Chernobog accuses them of treason and orders them to sacrifice. Cultists happily do. This is the prehistory, and the fairy tale is just beginning to tell. Twenty years later he comes to life, crawls out of the crypt shouting “I… LIVE… AGAIN!» from Evil Dead. This game has a lot of references to different films and books (the hand from The Evil Dead, to reset it you have to press the action button many times, Freddy’s glove, the hotel from The Shining, but fans of Loughcraft should especially play. Many references to his work: Miskatonic, Innsmouth, etc.d.).There are rusty villas in your hands, and the 20-30s of the 20th century are in the yard. During our absence Chernobog came into the world and life became very bad for everyone. Very. There is blood and Death everywhere, and corpses have become the latest fashion for decorating facades and interiors. And do you think you returned to this world in order to save it, bring it to peace and light?? No! we are even worse Evil, compared to us, zombies and cultists who kill people as needed are adequate guys. If there was anything human left in Caleb, it was burned and destroyed by the Beast. Years of serving Him, Chernobog, were not in vain, he is not interested in this miserable world, he is driven by revenge against Chernobog and he goes on a crusade across the cursed lands to destroy him. And nothing will stop him.

LET THE ENEMY FEAR, LET HIM CHOGLE IN HIS OWN BLOOD
Blood is the first game where the main thing is not to destroy the enemy, but to kill him in the most brutal way possible. And the entire diverse arsenal is built on this principle. Even with villas you can rip off your opponent’s head and then play it in football. A flare causes them to flare up like torches and run around screaming in pain until they’re fried to a crisp. A special bonus is scattered throughout the levels, allowing you to pick up two Thompsons or shotguns and crush your opponents with double strength. Dynamite simply tears people to pieces, turning opponents into a bloody mess.

They try not to touch civilians, cultists and evil spirits, but not us. When you come across a crowd of people, you try to ensure that as many of them as possible survive by the end of the firefight, in order to then enjoy the carnage. They try to run away, screaming in terror, but they’re not going anywhere. If you want to finish them off quickly, throw dynamite into the crowd and watch their bodies get torn to pieces. If you want a painful death, take a flare gun or a can of spray with a lighter and set them on fire. For gourmets of the sadistic workshop, you can take villas and pierce their throats one by one, watching how they try to close the mortal wound with their hands, but nothing can save them, life leaves along with the blood, and they fall like rags to the ground.
Do you know what Blood smells like?? Blood, burnt flesh and death. She just stinks. You know what Blood says? Screams of pain, horror and death agony, screams of cultists (Cultists even have their own language, which even has an official and colloquial form!) and Caleb’s inimitable phrases full of black humor. Be careful of zombies. Just because they fell to the ground screaming doesn’t mean they died. Dying after a wild death cry.

CURSED LANDS
It allows you to plunge even more into the world of violence, pain and suffering of the location. The whole game is Caleb’s travels around the world, which is thought out thoroughly. Although the developers said that it was the 20-30s of the twentieth century, this world is abstract, entirely the imagination of the developers. A besieged city, bombers and a sailing ship, a medieval church and shopping centers with excavators coexist here. The thoughtfulness of the world is amazing, every building, every interior is painted with love, and despite the fairly outdated graphics, the maps are memorable. A carnival where demons are used instead of horses on a carousel, a hotel from The Shining, where in the kitchen a zombie chef prepares dinner from a human head and leg, the Phantom 666 train, crushing people who, for some unknown reason, are standing on the rails. Each card has something that will be remembered, etched in memory. Some feature, at least small, will be there. Plus, all killed enemies, all bullet holes, spent cartridges and fire from explosions do not disappear until you complete the level. But there was a fly in the ointment. Navigation is inconvenient, sometimes you just don’t know where to go. I wandered around one level for half an hour until I figured out where to go. There is a map, but it’s of no use.

CONCLUSION
This game has one more disadvantage, the name of which is Dos. You can consider me a crooked monkey, but it wasn’t on the first try that I figured out how to set up controls and sound in the game, and I still have problems with the mouse. And the button that kills me, when pressed, turns off the mouse. 97, I understand, tractor drivers, but in 2010 this is surprising.

The review is still incomplete, I did not consider multiplayer for obvious reasons. I don’t know if the servers exist, if people still play it or not. But I’m ready to find out.
Pros: Lots of: voice acting, map design, variety of weapons, meat and violence.
Cons: inconvenient navigation, Dos

This is where I would start. Your opinion is subjective. Objectively, this is one of the best spin shooters, after it the “beginning of the end” of classic shooters. Quake 2 also played on this field, and then Half-Life came out, ushering in a whole new era of shooters. Turgor is a different genre and is evaluated according to different criteria.

What rating do you propose to give then?? After all, this game is no lower than 9 on a scale of ten. Well, it doesn’t qualify for a different assessment. Or should it be assessed on a special trash scale?? And what is a powerful game, can you tell the definition?

That’s it, finally finished the review. Found Caleb’s phrases, plus edited some minor details.

Okay, okay.
In fact, I was taken to the wrong place.
The toy is great, and the review, although a little big, is quite good.

A powerful game is, for example, Turgor.
Personally, my rating for Blood is 7.
Because trash and waste are cool, but they don’t bring that much pleasure.

E? I always thought that trash and frenzy bring pleasure.

The same Turgor and Pestilence. Utopia, while not bringing pleasure as such, because there is no trash or intoxication there, manages to leave sensations much more than Blood.
Actually, if anyone doesn’t know, I’m not a big fan of spinal games at all.

Burning Daylight Review | Christian technogenic dystopia

“You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe what you want to believe.”. Take the red pill – you find yourself in wonderland and I’ll show you how deep it is. »
Morpheus from the movie "The Matrix"

In essence, these words can describe the entire plot of the game – it contrasts the spiritually pure natural world, that is, the blue side, and the materially dirty technological world, in the form of the red side.

What is higher: progress, or the spiritual world? This question has been asked for a long time, and everyone usually finds the answer for themselves. But nevertheless, this topic is more relevant than ever in our world, which is rapidly moving towards technological revolutions. Every day there is a new discovery or invention… a man-made disaster or a spiritual crime. Endemic globalization has opened our eyes to something that everyone simply did not notice before, or it became a catalyst that launched a chain of uncontrollable human atrocities? But in times of greater unity with nature and the spiritual world, man was also not distinguished by his love of peace and creativity… So which of the evils is the least? Throughout the game there is a contrast between two visions of the world, although the authors have already clearly decided on the right side of the conflict.

The authors see the only true solution for humanity as a return to their spiritual nature, to unity with it, completely denigrating progress and presenting it as a path to decay and self-destruction, showing almost all the sins on its side. People in the world of the game played at God, completely surrendered to their vices… and sank into the abyss of animal existence, obeying the machine voice. Even religion, this great institution of faith, which in theory should protect man from his brutal nature, in the world of the game was mutilated to the base pagan worship of a huge robot responsible for collecting human bodies for disposal. Our story revolves around a kind of unique person who was able to open his eyes and see the reality surrounding him. In its own way, this is a story about the insight and ascent of one man who fell to the very bottom, but was able to radically change his life course in time and climb to the peak of spiritual well-being.

Of course, I don’t have a nuclear reactor instead of a computer, but due to optimization I had to play on such a ladder.

But this is only what concerns https://ole777casino.co.uk/bonus/ the plot and history, with which the game is all right, as can be understood from what was written above. Although a wordless visual narrative can be interpreted in different ways, because there is always more than one allusion. And if we started talking about the visual side of the game, then we’ll stop there for a while. The project has its own style, not the most original, of course, but the emphasis was placed more on the general atmosphere of what was happening than on originality or realism. In a high-tech world, all colors are aggressive and rich, black and red dominate – clear hints of hell. In the natural world, on the contrary, the colors are soft and calm, blue and green dominate here – there are already hints of heavenly origin. In general, the game perfectly conveys the mood and idea through the picture, rough and simple, which only benefits the story itself.

And even the high-tech world of the future rests on the sacrifice of the weak for the well-being of the strong!

And what is the soundtrack in the game… but you don’t notice it at all until the very moment it changes from the oppressive and stressful chords of the techno-world to the calm and peaceful sound of the gardens. And all because it works great for the overall atmosphere, creating horror where necessary, and eliminating all tension where necessary. Overall, the instrumental music in the game is just good and appropriate.

All other aspects of any game can be written on a separate line and with the same brush. The gameplay in the game is simple – know yourself, run forward and press the action button from time to time to open the door or put on clothes – simplicity as it is. The duration of the game is just enough so that the player does not have time to get bored, but the game cannot become boring either – half an hour, if you don’t get stupid out of the blue, although the game is as linear as possible, so it will be problematic to show a narrow mind. Plus, the game is completely free – it’s a shame to complain. A kind of nugget of the free-to-play games market, for this I wouldn’t even regret paying about 100-150 rubles… for lunches for the developers, of which there are already 12, by the way.

Musical accompaniment and voice acting:
7.5/10

Graphics and visuals:
10/10

Lampiness:

Cool review, short but clear, I was pleased with the ratings, just like in old game magazines 😀

I became interested in the game only because of the brief description in the blogs, I haven’t seen stories about faith in games very often, so now I’ll try it myself

Cyberpunk 2077 Review – Too Expensive

Before the release of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED was the favorite studio of almost all gamers. The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt showed that the Poles can make real AAA games. The adventures of Geralt went down so well with the audience that the company earned a huge amount of trust and loyalty. Now the ossified old men and the newcomers were waiting for another masterpiece from the studio. And the developers stirred up the audience’s interest by promising something new in the RPG genre. BUT as a result, as you already know, the game turned out to be quite controversial. Today I will try to figure out how CD Projekt RED came to this and is it worth playing Cyberpunk 2077 six months after its release. Pull on your dirty gear, punks, and keep your guns ready, let’s rush to Night City!

What is Cyberpunk 2077? This is a first-person action/RPG where we have to get into the shoes of the mercenary hacker V (aka Vincent if you play as a man, or Valerie if you choose a female). In fact, Cyberpunk 2077 is just a first-person joker, but not an RPG (although the game in every possible way disguises itself as this genre. They even brought in a character editor). At the beginning of the game, there are three character legends to choose from, which, in theory, should form a unique passage and experience for each chosen path. And indeed, when you start playing, the feeling that something unique is forming in you remains exactly until the moment you go through the prologue and find yourself in the open world, where small lines of dialogue remain from your legend and a couple of tasks from friends from the past GG. And as you understand, this does not change subsequent events from the word at all. And the choice of replicas also makes little difference on repeated playthroughs; you will find yourself watching almost the same movie, only with slightly changed dialogues. They sold us about interactivity, which doesn’t exist.

Although the main plot does not have crazy interactivity, its structure turned out to be more than challenging and interesting. Your character, as I wrote above, is a mercenary, and like any mercenary, he wants to find a bigger business so that the proceeds literally fill all possible holes. Therefore, GG, together with his accomplice Jackie, takes an order to steal a certain item from the mega corporation Arasaka. It seems like nothing complicated: take it and bring it, but everything goes, as always, not according to plan, and the thing we communized is a biochip, which later ends up in the head of our would-be mercenary. And then GG goes into such a steep dive that he cannot get out of it alive: he is killed. But since death is not an affordable luxury, we are resurrected (no, not Jesus) by that same biochip, which turns out to be not simple, but with the personality construct of Johnny Silverhand (rocker and terrorist played by the notorious Keanu Reeves).

This is where the fun begins! Now everything that happens to V directly changes Johnny, and Johnny, in turn, affects V. This exchange of experience, if you can call it that, makes any task more interesting. Your dialogues with Johnny are full of humor and caustic comments that he makes after almost every action you take. But not everything is so smooth: our brain and body, in particular, are not happy about living like this, it physically hurts them. Our hero dies due to the fact that the chip began to replace our consciousness with Johnny’s consciousness. And how you will climb out of this hole depends only on you.

Secondary quests also have something to show for it. Take, for example, the quest “Passion”, where the prisoner Joshua, sentenced to death, decides to film a braindance (a technology that transmits into your brain other people’s memories with all the sensations that the operator experienced during the recording) about his crucifixion and distribute this recording to the masses in order to “make a sacrifice for the sins of people” through his torment. The victim of Joshua is recorded only to make a profit from this recording of the crucifixion, in other words, from such a frank act, which requires a lot of courage and fortitude, corporate companies make a show and PR as much as possible. Cyberpunk 2077 demonstrates well what humanity can come to if it continues to have the same greedy and consumerist attitude toward everything that exists. Or you can also mention the quest with the Perales family, where the head of the family strives to become the mayor of Night City. But something strange is happening in the couple’s apartment, and they hire GG to act as an independent expert and find out what’s going on, since the couple don’t even trust their security. During the investigation, we learn that the spouses are being influenced from the outside, by changing their memory and neural connections, making our employers completely different personalities who will carry out the will of the unknown puppeteer. This quest even sent a chill down my spine when I got to the truth, I was so imbued with the stalemate of the situation. There will also be quests with a detective component, where you must save Detective River’s nephew; showdowns with cyber psychopaths and other equally interesting secondary tasks. In some quests you will even be given some choice. Or you might fail a couple of missions if you don’t move your cyber pistons. With these examples I wanted to show that there are, albeit small, glimpses of good in the game.

Gameplay has several playstyles https://casinostuen.co.uk/bonus/ that the player can switch between at any time. Cyberpunk 2077 can be played like a regular joker, aggressively breaking through crowds of opponents. You can cleverly crawl through ventilation and doorways using stealth, finding lonely enemies and strangling them all one by one. Well, or, being a skilled hacker, instill fear and terror in enemies by hacking enemy equipment, cameras and implants. I love freedom in the style of play, and Cyberpunk is a fairly flexible game in this regard, despite the shooter bias. It’s a pleasure to shoot here: both ordinary firearms and futuristic barrels arouse genuine interest, and you pick up new types of weapons in anticipation of exploring them as soon as possible. The same can be said about implants and other body augmentations. The weapon’s recoil is pleasant, it sounds natural and looks impressive. In general, the arsenal is huge in size, this applies to both conventional guns and futuristic weapons, as well as grenades with melee weapons. Here, I think, every gamer will find something of his own. In such a large open world, of course, there is also transport: we have access to cars, motorcycles, trucks, one infantry fighting vehicle and… Everything! They don’t give you any lethal transport, a taxi or a bus, or, at worst, they don’t even give you control of a broken-down boat (to plow the local waters at least a little). However, driving local transport is still fun (even despite the fact that a patch has been released that allows you to adjust the sensitivity of turning). You almost always skid when turning. Or, on the contrary, you don’t push. This creates inconvenience. Yes, and at high speed he also drives cars and motorcycles, trying to fly off the road. By the middle of the game it becomes so tiring that you spit and use fast travel terminals. By the way, you “summon” your transport, like the Roach, by pressing one key.

Graphically the game has something to brag about. The heart of the game is REDengine4, a new version of the engine that pleased us with its visuals in the third Witcher. If you look at the list of improvements compared to the previous version, this almost drove the next generation. In fact, this is true, but only partly. For example, you won’t find such advanced reflections from Nvidia RTX anywhere at the moment, and even in the open world. Overall, the static picture looks like the real next generation. But all the visual feast ends when you start moving. It’s difficult to explain what exactly the problem is here, but the picture immediately becomes unreal, less clear and artificial. This is especially noticeable in cutscenes, where no less “plastic” movements of the models are added to the plastic picture. The environment also lacks interactivity; there is little you can twist and turn, although the engine provides such an opportunity. Drawing the range of objects leaves much to be desired. During the day the city looks so-so, it’s better not to go out into nature to save your eyes. At night the situation is already better, but it lasts surprisingly very long in the night city of the New United States of America. The dark time of day flies past you in a local sports car and shows two faces from the window, driving off into the distance along with the surroundings of the neon city at night to go on a spree to the local bar. And such a state from: “Wow!" – before: "Well, cool" – accompanies you throughout the game.

Stylistics Cyberpunk 2077 comes from its name. This is cyberpunk in its best traditions. High tech, low life, as they say. The only difference between 2077 and many of its peers in the genre is in the visualization. The cyber prosthetics here resemble something bulky, sloppy, completely covered with chrome or other alloys, deliberately shouting: “Hey, look at me.”!». Ubiquitous advertising that permeates almost the entire infrastructure of the city and ridicules certain stereotypes of society. And the world around you, in general, looks provocative, which captivates your attention even more. The crime rate is off the charts, gang warfare in poor areas borders on business districts, where there is some kind of peaceful life. You can calmly take a walk, have a snack, sell and buy unnecessary things, install new augmentations for yourself and buy cartridges with new types of weapons. There haven’t been such open worlds in the cyberpunk genre for a long time. It was made so painstakingly and tastefully by artists. Sources of inspiration for fans of the genre are immediately visible; off the top of my head I can name “Blade Runner” from director Ridley Scott and “Ghost in the Shell” by Mamoru Oshii. Some locations look so colorful and original that they take your breath away. Take the same level with Voodooists: I haven’t seen such a cool visual of the digital world for a long time, I would like to better study this world of netrunners and find out what is hidden behind the screen, in addition to Alt Cunningham. But, unfortunately, we are allowed to surf the Internet a limited number of times, which is a pity. The game, of course, has an incredibly rich visual diversity, but behind all this beauty there is a ringing emptiness of the open world. Even though there are crowds walking along the street, and vehicles driving here and there along the roads, exploring the local world is, in fact, boring. There are activities in the form of additional tasks, but they won’t show you anything new here. You have already seen similar tasks in a thousand and one games, you approach the zone and it begins: go-help, beat-kill, find-steal, come-steal, save-save. These tasks cover almost the entire map, and when you look at them from a bird’s eye view, assessing the upcoming front of work, your eyes widen, and the thought of an unprecedented variety of tasks populates your head. However, dreams are shattered on the cast-iron ass of reality when it comes to the understanding that these side effects are for the most part of the same type and only have the function of extending the time spent in the game. Of course, not all of them are done perfectly, but only a small part is something interesting and original. So it turns out that in such a beautiful hefty city as Night City, in fact, the player from the main entertainment can only go through the main and secondary tasks, the rest of the content does not deserve time. NPS also do not give out anything interesting and unique, they behave stupidly and sometimes illogically, this applies to both civilians and enemies. BUT, I would like to note that the NPS models themselves are very diverse in terms of visual display. In the crowd there are people: large build, thin, freaks with varying degrees of augmentation, children, people with a normal build, jocks, old and young.

And here I want to move on to the main disadvantages of the game. Numerous bugs and dampness of the game. These two points kill everything that is good about Cyberpunk. Then the facial textures will disappear in the cutscene with Johnny Silverhand, sometimes the animations glitch and the sound disappears, in story missions the transport moves jerkily and unnaturally, as if I were seeing a sketch of an almost finished scene, the crowd disappears when the camera turns sharply. And in some places the game can systematically crash for no particular reason (then an acute shortage of 9 gigabytes is discovered in its distribution, which led to an emergency stop). The crudeness of the project is visible both in the technical part and in the implementation of the promised ideas from the developers, which were cut in the roughest form.

Let’s say we take V’s apartment, in terms of functionality it is the most desirable place for the GG, but as soon as we are pushed into the open world we forget about our so desired home, it is simply not needed here. They don’t talk about it or mention it, and there’s no desire to go there. Guess how many times we will visit the shelter during the game? Three or four times, and then twice according to the plot of the game. You may ask: “What is this strange quibble??" – but, believe me, these miscalculations are smeared thickly throughout the game. You may also ask: “How to solve this problem?“Here are a couple of ideas: make crafting things not in the hero’s inventory, but in the workshop on a workbench at home; make sure that while you sleep in your bed, additional boosts in parameters appear for a while; order any upgrades or improvements for your gadgets and weapons through your home computer. You could organize parties at home, with your friends, or spend dates with your passions in a cozy place, and not in the middle of nowhere.

The main character’s phone is also crookedly implemented, which has four functions: call, receive a call, receive SMS, send SMS. ALL! Let’s be honest, the phone is more similar to the model not of 2077, but to mobile phones of the 2007 model, when push-button phones were still in use (and even then they had much wider functionality in the form of a camera, browser and other multimedia).

Or the Night City metro: at the time of release it was cut out and only tourist fast travel terminals were left. Ideally, I would like to see something like the subway from GTA 4. Well, or at least make fast movement video inserts, like in “Deus Ex: Mankind Devided” and “Spider-Man” from Insomniac Games. Well, if video inserts are not suitable, you can follow the path of “The Darkness” from Starbreeze Studios, making the subway a kind of location where the subway arrived, we sat down, loading screen, arrived at the desired station, got off. Eh… And these solutions are on the surface, but I came up with them, and I’m an idiot. And my ideas certainly should not be better than the developers from CD Projekt, who are paid for this. I just want to show that it was possible to find a bunch of solutions to solve the above problems. The question, of course, remains open as to what prevented us from fixing the problems: lack of time, unwillingness to pay employees more, or lack of hands?

But what CD Project Red invested in was creating musical compositions for the game. In Night City, a very large number of smart performers in various musical styles were driven to radio stations. We pushed them into different thematic waves, and the magic did its job. Of course, all this is a matter of taste, but, as for me, it turned out quite colorful. As for the musical accompaniment, it is also not inferior in quality. The OST was written by Marcin Przybyłowicz (familiar to us from the soundtrack from The Witcher 3) together with composers Piotr Adamczyk and Paul Leonard-Morgan. In this collaboration, the authors produced quite atmospheric dark electro music.

Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 turned out to be a strange game. The problem with the game is that it is only half ready, and this makes it feel incomplete. One moment you get pleasure from the visuals and action, and at another moment your bottom explodes from the empty open world and a terrible number of bugs with unrealized or cut ideas. Yes, I understand the disappointment of many players, CD Projekt RED essentially deceived us. When buying a game on PC and consoles, players expected to receive a technically and qualitatively fully made AAA-class product, but in the end they received a stump, which over time was brought into a more or less digestible form with patches, but the aftertaste of such deception is very difficult to overcome with patches alone.

By the way, nothing has been done to the fullness of the game yet; the open world has been dead and remains so. Needless to say, this is not the norm? By its actions, CD Projekt RED simply lost a colossal share of the trust of players, ready to buy their games with their “eyes closed,” which, in fact, is what happened.

CD Project has a difficult road ahead; it will have to re-gain the trust of players. Do I recommend the game? No more than yes. In general, if you go through only the plot and additional. missions, then you may even think that the game is good, but as soon as you start studying it deeper, this is where it begins to crumble, showing its true insides. However, if you are a crazy fan of cyberpunk aesthetics like me, then you can buy the game for the visual component (if the price doesn’t bother you). To everyone else, I can only say that this entertainment is not worth your attention until it is put in complete order, and you don’t even have to worry about it if you don’t pass it. And on this sad note, I leave you. Khromov was with you, see you soon.

Contrast Review [Holesimus Review]

When faced with a game of the Contrast level, for some reason you immediately begin to understand that it’s impossible to write about such things in the usual volume. This is an art that is understandable to most (we run, jump, solve not too complex puzzles), but that makes it even more ingenious. The main role in “Contrast” is given to the girl Didi, who copes with various puzzles along the way with the help of her imaginary friend Dawn, who is able to easily move from the world of light to the world of shadow, while transforming the space between 2D and 3D mechanics, interacting with other shadow reflections.

Plot and game world: this performance with transformations unfolds in an entertaining, touching story, children’s fantasies and magical adventures, while in a world of harsh intensity and adult problems. In Contrast you will discover the adult world through the eyes of a little girl. Girl named Didi. She was very brave, independent and loved adventure. You know, the type when parents leave their children alone in the room, wish them good dreams, turn off the lights and leave through the prism of the threshold. And the children? What children? Before going to bed, they want to have some more fun, enjoy the miracle… Unfortunately, the father left the family, and Didi lived alone with her mother. However, the little girl believed that one fine day her dad would definitely return. As often happens with children from disadvantaged families, Didi had an imaginary friend, with whom the girl spent all the time when she was alone, alone.

Mother disappears in the evenings while performing in a cabaret. Stepfather got involved with dangerous people trying to make some money. The owner of the house threatens to evict everyone for non-payment of debt. Parents are constantly on edge and quarreling. What should we do in this game when everyone around us is in conflict?? Right. Dawn, the main character, helps the girl restore order in her family.

Arrange a mother’s career, establish a stepfather’s circus attractions, reconcile them with each other and find a real father. Not to say that as we progress through the game, we acquire a new, second family, because there is very little time for this. But watching how and in what ways you give a child a smile is probably the most beautiful moments in the game.

Gameplay: The gameplay of Contrast https://slots-magic-casino.co.uk/login/ is based on the heroine’s ability to turn into a shadow, which allows her to interact with the game world in an unusual way. Namely through the silhouettes of objects and subjects.

It all comes down to solving simple puzzles, but not in a primitive way. Don can move between dimensions. In a world where you need to walk on the ground, she interacts with objects, moves boxes and directs light sources, distorting trajectories, level of shadow volume, distance and size, and then approaches a wall and… enters it, turning into a shadow, and now has to get used to platformer-style controls. The only thing she can interact with are the shadows of other objects. If you are consumed by a shadow, or if you fall out of sight, you will be pushed out of the world of shadows and walls. Therefore, a town in France from the 20s of the last century has a surreal look. Roads break off, lampposts and stairs take on different shapes, paths over abysses are made of things frozen in the air, there are no people, only their shadows live here. The world, of course, resembles together many different kinds of games and films. all these umbrellas, the barrel organ in the background – French dialect.

I would like to note the third act in the game, where in one of the tasks we will have to play the role of a princess who has to save her prince! The level itself turns into a stage and scenery from the same shadows. But it all looks just great. Because it’s based on the game Limbo. Just look, there is the same spider, abysses, traps, a dragon and even an ogre with a club. Plus, all this is emphasized by the correct sequence of your actions and increased complexity, just like in limbo. This level just warmed my heart on a cold autumn night.

In fact the gameplay is too easy. There are original puzzles, but their solution is obvious. Only one problem made me worry. Puzzles are well integrated into this action, diluted with Didi’s monologues and dialogues of adults, reading notes and searching for secrets. The passage takes about three hours, but on the way to the final revelation you won’t be bored, because the drama grows, and when you stop playing, look for the wind in the field. The game skillfully keeps the intrigue, making you believe that there is something more to it than a simple restoration of relations between parents.

Graphics and design: a magnificent color palette in combination with image filters stretches the image of a downloadable game to a decent level, Contrast has an artistic style and general atmosphere. The game has a unique atmosphere that combines features of vaudeville and film noir. In a story imbued with betrayal, jealousy, envy, heroes often have to make difficult decisions. The character designs are just as impressive. Puppet-like characters that are reminiscent of Grim Fandango mixed with Tim Burton art make this gaming assortment a cute one.

And I really like the long, slender legs of the main character: 3

Music and sounds: An exquisite soundtrack that perfectly fits the game and makes its atmosphere even more expressive, all this fun is set against the backdrop of a jazz soundtrack performed by real professional jazz singer Laura Ellis, who, incidentally, also played the role of Didi’s mother.

Verdict:
There are elements of special quality, but unfortunately those combinations in certain areas do not live up to their potential. The authors of Contrast went to great lengths to defend their concept on the commercial market: deliberately ignoring all the “good advice” (multiplayer, custom difficulty level, etc.). d.), they took all the risks just to make the game exactly the way it was invented. And they were right.
Story scenes are skillfully combined with original, albeit simple puzzles. There are some disadvantages, but not critical. I would like to note the weak physics, an incredible amount of freezes in hidden areas on levels where there are random shadow areas and similar puzzles. Or would that be a plus?.To. the child will be able to play this game until the very end. This will not stop your child from taking giant steps forward.
I think that’s all. The review has come to an end. Thank you all for your attention.
P.S. Let me remind you that Contrast was included in the launch lineup for PS4.
P.S.S PS4 users who subscribe to PS Plus will receive Contrast for free.
