“REVIEWERS”

I decided to write anyway because I’m tired of it.What amazes me about you “reviewers” is that even though the entire staff of stopgame is indignant about piracy and always promotes licensed production, but still a lot of people immediately download pirated games and write “reviews”, reading which other people think that the game is really not worth this or that money and also download pirated ones. And if the “reviewers” bought licensed Black Ops and the same Hot Pursiut, and everyone else, then there would be no chatter about lags, glitches, bugs, and what is it worth just for the opportunity to play multiplayer in any game! After all, if you used licensed products, then even if you had some problems with the game on the day of purchase, then the (automatic) patch will fix everything in the coming days, and even technical support is not asleep. Just like that. If you want to downvote, if you want to continue downloading stolen, hacked games, but have a conscience.

yes, buy licensed software. And you support domestic producers. Let’s all go buy the game Truckers!
This is what the collection should be (this is mine)

P.S I’m not a major, https://1playcasino.co.uk/login/ it’s just that more than half of the games were provided by my friend who works in a computer store.games

even if you had some problems with the game on the day of purchase, the (automatic) patch will fix everything in the coming days, and technical support is not asleep

Tell that to FlagShip Studios and the users of HellGate: London
But essentially, I try to buy licensed products, but alas, I don’t have much money, so there are only 5 games on my list of licenses, but I don’t regret spending a penny on them. and over the past 2 years I have downloaded only 5 pirated games and bought 4 licensed discs.

yes, but if we used licensed versions of Windows, and if we used licensed versions of other vital software, and if… then we wouldn’t sit here and talk, but would be sad shit. do you think the authors of stopgame are all 100% stuffed with licenses? ) don’t be ridiculous, they are Russians like us, but Russian people love and prefer freebies))

I sometimes buy licenses, but rarely download (I buy, but not the licenses that are sold in stores)

Far Cry 3 Review

Let’s start with some background. And this background is contained in two games: Far Cry 1 and Far Cry 2. If the first part of the franchise was made by Crytek and in all its features the first game in the series resembles Crysis, then the responsibility for the development of Far Cry 2 lies entirely with Ubisoft Montreal. And you will have to answer for this game on many counts. The most severe of which is the damage inflicted on the players’ psyche, in particular by incredible boredom, which is intensified by the general gray and dusty environment, and aggravated by outbreaks of irritation at the sight of numerous game design solutions, carefully laid out by the developers on almost every square meter of the game world. An example is the beginning of the game, in which you spend 5 minutes driving with a local driver along a country African road, and during this time all you can do is turn your head, looking at the brownish landscape and listening to the mournful speeches of your cab driver. I don’t know what this trip was a reference to, maybe to the trailer from the first Half-Life or to riding a Zhiguli as a hostage in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but there were many times more events taking place on these trips. Another distinctive feature of Far Cry 2 were checkpoints, which had endless enemy respawns. So, if you wanted to clear an oncoming checkpoint on the way to the next mission, then returning from the mission you would have to repeat the above action, because in some way known only to the developers, an incredibly fast replenishment of retired enemies took place, so for those daredevils who continued to play Far Cry 2, pressing the gas pedal and sweeping through all the outposts like a dusty whirlwind under a friendly cannonade of shots was the only possible solution.

As you can see, Far Cry 2 had a lot of shortcomings, so how the developers managed to fix everything for the third part is still a mystery to me. Now, in fact, let’s move on to a detailed consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of Far Cry 3.

The first thing I would like to https://88gasiacasino.co.uk/ start with is “convex” characters. What immediately comes to mind is a local chemistry professor involved in the manufacture and sale of drugs, or a CIA agent in deep reserve, making caustic remarks towards the main character at every turn. The main one of the entire galaxy of characters is Vaas. This pirate, anarchist, psycho and philosopher will make everyone understand what madness is, and more than once throughout the game he will make us watch with bated breath his antics. A significant success in the perception of the characters was the fact that the cut scenes with them are short and consistent. This constantly forces the player to go further and further through the story in order to again enjoy the three-minute appearance of their favorite hero.

Let’s talk about the plot now. The premise is that a certain group of young people are captured by human traffickers. The main character, together with his brother, manages to escape, but on the way to saving his brother, he is killed and now the main character has two tasks: the first is to find and save his friends who were captured by the pirates, and the second is to avenge the death of his older brother. Throughout the game we will observe the development of the main character from a carefree young guy to a cold-blooded killer at the end. The classic technique of changing a character under the influence of circumstances is played out here even visually. As we progress through the game, we earn experience points, which we can further spend on acquiring skills, each of which is represented in the form of an icon; in fact, after choosing a certain skill, these icons are applied to the hands of the main character. A similar ritual is associated with the local Rakyat people, who consider us the chosen warrior who can rid the population from the tyranny of pirates. And the number of tattoos on the hands here indicates a person’s readiness to follow the “path of war”.

In addition to the interesting plot, the game has many tasks. Let’s talk about them now. Tasks, strictly speaking, can be divided into two types: the first is the tasks of the main campaign. Here everything is obvious, we approach the mark marked on the map, where the cut-scene starts, and after it, in fact, we proceed to the task itself. There are quite a large number of story quests here and they are all varied: burning a hemp field using dubstep, working for the CIA, hunting pirates and much more. With additional tasks, everything is a little more complicated. There are plenty of different activities in the game, but I’ll try to tell you about the main ones. Let’s start with the towers. This is the hallmark of all Ubisoft games, but it was in Far Cry 3 that the implementation of this gameplay element turned out to be the most successful. Here, each tower is a puzzle, after solving which you can climb to the top and turn off the transmitter, after which the map will show: the location of outposts, habitats of wild animals, and some weapons will become free in the store. After descending from the tower, you can go to capture the outpost. Here the game gives us some variety of passage: we can either take a machine gun and go to the breach, or climb a nearby hill with a sniper rifle, shoot at the cage with a predator and peacefully watch from afar the madness that is happening. Successfully capturing the outpost provides us with a fast travel point and several missions to kill pirate commanders or hunt wild animals. Far Cry 3 boasts not only a large variety of additional tasks, but also their successful introduction into the game’s ecosystem. So if you want, for example, to increase the amount of ammunition carried by the main character, you will have to make a more capacious bandoleer. And to make it you need the skins of certain animals, the habitats of which can be easily found by capturing the tower, and so that the annoying pirates do not scare away the animals with their shots, you will have to clear the nearby checkpoint. No one, of course, will force you to complete additional tasks and you, like a butterfly, can calmly flutter from one story quest to another, but believe me, you won’t get all the pleasure from the game.

Let’s now move on to the shortcomings, and oddly enough the game has them. The most important of them is the last third of the game, taking place on the second island. It is ruled by the chief of Vaasa and the leader of the mercenaries, Hoyt Volker. And to be honest, this villain is head and shoulders below Vaas in terms of charisma and charm, and all the tasks performed on the second island are either a copy of those already completed, or simply a hacky and careless work of the developers, whose only goal, apparently, was to increase the length of the game.

Let’s summarize and start with the ratings – I give Far Cry 3 8 points out of 10. As for the question: “Will the success of the third part be repeated in other games in this series??- I will answer: “No, it won’t”. Ubisoft has already put the Far Cry series in the milking stall and will continue to milk it until the udders fall off completely, which is generally confirmed by those released after the third part of the game.

Dying Light 2 review or another story about clichéd feminism

Hello! Friends, before moving directly to the review, I would like to tell you what will be waiting for you in the next 15 minutes (or a little less). Due to recent events, major foreign publications have stopped selling games in Russia. In addition, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo closed their online stores. That is why I decided to make a series of materials about games that many gamers probably have in their collections, but which they are unlikely to have ever touched. And we’ll start with one of the latest AAA blockbusters – Dying Light 2: Stay Human .

If in the world of cinema the theme of zombies is an indicator of the director’s lack of taste and the screenwriter’s imagination, then in the world of video games everything is not so simple. Games, and especially such fervent trash, can be counted on the fingers of one hand. And, as sad as it is to admit, the second Dying Light is not one of those. Not in the sense that this is a bad game, but in the fact that there is no meat cut, like in the same State of Decay. The game generally has a surprisingly serious mood. Is it good or bad, let’s find out.

Plot and side activities

The premise of the game is https://7criccasino.co.uk/login/ as follows. The main character, Aiden, is in Villedor, where he thinks his sister Mia, from whom he was separated as a child, is located. In the suburbs he is met by Spike, a friend and fellow pilgrim. In the game world, this word is used to describe couriers who deliver information or items between settlements. He tells the protagonist that you can’t just get into the city. However, he managed to come to an agreement with a local resident, who, in exchange for a certain service, promises to help the hero get beyond the walls. After saying goodbye to Spike, Aiden heads to the meeting place. We’ll talk about locations a little later, but I’ll immediately note that before the metropolis you go through an introduction to a fairly vast area, where you are asked to study the basic mechanics and are briefly introduced. I want to express my great respect to the developers. The player will no longer return to this place during the passage. And despite this, it is designed no worse than the main location.

I want to say a few words about the emotionality of the story. She won’t make you cry, those who were waiting for snot, relax. There is only one emotional moment here, and I missed it due to the wrong choice. However, following the story is still quite interesting. Unfortunately, already in the second half, even closer to the finale, when the creators have not yet revealed all their cards, you already understand how the story can end. Despite the many endings, globally they are not much different from each other . And if you think that now I will scold our Polish friends for the lack of variety, then you are deeply mistaken. She is here and she is very coolly woven into the plot. Some decisions made at the beginning of the passage shoot almost at the end of the story. In addition, there are many forks in front of which you stand and think: “Damn, where better to go. Both that option and this one are interesting.”. And it’s incredibly cool when a game can evoke such feelings. This means that hours of work and mountains of scribbled pages of the script were not in vain.

There really are a lot of choices. But only those made during story missions can affect the plot

Characters

Before writing the review, I specifically read old interviews with Techland developers. Timon Smektala, the lead game designer of the game, said that the game will have strong female characters. Moreover, you won’t be able to have a romantic relationship with them. God forbid the community gets angry that some guy dared to touch a feminist.

No, a strong female character is not a bad thing if the developers don’t emphasize it. Unfortunately, the Poles emphasized. Now I’ll say something seditious, but The Last of Us 2 has less agenda than Dying Light 2. I’m not sexist and female characters can be cool. You don’t have to look far for examples. For example, in Red Dead Redemption 2 there is Sadie Adler, who participates in shootouts along with men. In Metro Last Light there is Anya, who is generally considered the best sniper of the Order. I can continue this list for a very long time. But these heroines do not stand out from the general background, they are the same characters as everyone else.

Review Disjunction

Today I will tell you about the far from the most propying game called Disjunction. This is a stealth explosion developed by the studio Ape Tribe Games and who went into the release on January 28, 2021.

In general, in order to immediately understand how much you like this game, just answer one question. If, having heard the surname, Russell you immediately remember the hero of the militants of the 80s Kurt Russell, and not the breed of dogs Jack Russell, which is named after the English priest, then this game is for you.

Yes, in short, this is a game about Cyberpank clearly inspired by fantastic militants in the late eighties, early nineties. And in order to be with a game on the same wavelence, you can be very close Escape from Los Angeles, Escape from New York or Judge Dredd. And this means that in the game, as in the films of those times, there will be no original plot, not to see any mental suffering and empathy for the heroes, but in return you will get more than colorful characters and a straight line as a stick, but an honest pioneer story with a lot of action.

And now in order we will go on the positive and negative aspects of this game.

Plot

In the yard 2048. New York. The world is experiencing another financial crisis against a long -term war. As often happens, in difficult times the crime with which no one can bloom, and does not really want to do something. Many people, having lost their jobs and shelter, moved to the central park of New York, where they erected slums with their rules and laws, which over time became a state in a state where even the New York police did not have much power. But at some point, the authorities delay the most important person for these slums, at the same time, mafia groups are suddenly activated, starting to fight among themselves. And against this background, the mayor of New York is preparing to sign an unpopular agreement with a major company on the introduction of augmentated soldiers to Central, previously used only at external lines. And to understand what is actually happening in the slums is ahead of three, at first in no way connected at all, characters. Idea, atmosphere and some large strokes of the plot, of course, are honestly taken from Gibson And him The trilogy of the bridge. However, it can rather be said that this is a tribute to the pope of Cyberpan and not just arrogant copying.

Is this plot original? Of course not. What, but the originality does not smell here. But there is still some kind of charm in it, some kind of wave of nostalgia for an irrevocably passed time. And in general, the elaboration of the world itself, some notes, dialogs, explanations for the terms used by the game are made qualitatively.

The characters themselves are https://22funcasino.co.uk/bonus/ colorful than nowhere. This is a private detective who previously worked in the New York police, but then the head of the Russian mafia burned his eyes with acid, after which he left the police and actually works on the head of the slum. Next, we have a former military augmented one almost completely, even a metal jaw. Once he was part of the world of slum but retired after a prison term. But now his daughter, who has entered an aggressive eco-group, is killed and he is ready to avenge the whole world. Well, the third hero is a secretive hacker girl, which, as soon as it turns out, is the daughter of one of the leaders of the Chinese mafia. As you like? I can easily imagine how this scenario is read in 92m Mickey Rourke, Wesley Snip And Bai Lin, and give their consent to the shooting.

Summing up the plot, it is safe to say that the plot is well done, according to the canons of a long time, but it rests on nostalgia. At the days that not everyone is missing.

Visual and music

You know, if you watched the old Running along the blade 1982, then they probably remembered the music for the authorship of the composer Vangelis. I would even say that the general plans of the futuristic city by which travels Rick Descard, So harmonize with music that it itself has become a kind of symbol of cyberpanic noir.

IN Disjunction tried to make music just like that with an eye on Vangelis. And they, in general, came out. When, against the background of the flickering in the screensaver of the city, quite authentic compositions play, you really penetrate the atmosphere well.

As for the visual, the pixel graphics were made as it was in the late games of the 16-bit era and for some reason, coupled with music, it is most associated with me Bare Knuckle, She Streets of Rage. Yes, the pace and the meaning of these games varies a little, but having played a little in Disjunction You will also be able to find many hard -explained common features. In general, the design again relies on the films and games of the nineties, then the chic rooms of the hotels finished with gold, then the dirty warehouses to the top filled with something illegal. To clearly catch the sources of inspiration, it is enough to look at one of the late opponents, it is painfully similar to fur from Robocop.

At the same time, one cannot but say that with the duration of the game at ten hours, the interiors manage to become confused and often the surroundings of two different locations will be practically identical. So, in terms of design, it seems to be made very high quality and atmospheric, but often the locations are lacking.

Gameplay

Gameplay game is a hybrid of a very simple stall, not very distracting the RPG system of pumping and chubilov in the style Hotline Miami. Yes, often cleaning the premises from, for example, the Russian mafia is very reminiscent Hotline, Especially the second part of the series, where the levels, compared to the first part, have grown strongly, the opponents have become much more diverse, and the advance forward had to be thought out much more.

I mentioned stealth above, but in fact it is expressed only in the outlined cones, which indicates the angle and range of the enemy review. You got into this cone – at first they begin to look for you, and then they raise the alarm if they discover. The corpse of a guard thrown by you fell into this cone, again the search is initiated. The stealth ends on this, and besides this cone, opponents do not react to anything. You can bite them in fact in direct sight of each other and nothing will be, the main thing is to take along.

Each of the three protagonists has a certain set of skills in the amount of four pieces on which the energy scale is spent. For example, a detective can stun the opponents with a shocker and apply a particularly strong blow to the back of the head. The former military man can thresh enemies with his cybernetic hands or make a lightning -otic breakthrough to the enemy. And the hacker knows how to launch a cute hologram of the cat, which for some time is confused, and becomes invisible. Skills are selected very competently, and give different sensations from the passage of locations. You especially notice this when, after a long location, the hero changes and you have to process the already established tactics for new skills on the move.

There is some pumping in the game. For each mission, we gain experience points, plus directly on the locations you can find additional skills. The skills of the skills actually are spent by the four specific skills for characters. Experience glasses go away to speed up running, improve shooting and so on.

With the help of all of the above, you will have to cope with a rather large variety of opponents. There are really quite a lot of opponents in the game, although most of them are guards, which differ in weapons, the amount of health and the viewing angle. But besides them, there are various furs, cameras, turrets, sentinel robots, they are all distinguished by a rather specific and not rarely dynamically changing detection angle.

And in my personal opinion the main plus of gameplay Disjunction how competently all these numerous opponents are presented on locations. Yes, robots-lubricants just walk in circles. Yes, the guards often motionlessly monitor one sector. But when two heavy fur rummages around the room, from the far corner the entire room will monitor the turret, and some ornate zigzag periodically runs out, it becomes interesting. True, we must mention that in Disjunction The line between the initial levels and the final ones is too clearly visible, when you actually immediately go out of the sandbox to the long and very difficult levels.

In this game, everything is done pleasantly and harmonious. Paying tribute to the militants of the nineties, at the same time she does not infuriate with nostalgia and offers a good, dynamic gameplay. After passing there are no questions – this is a great game. But the fact is that this game, without any grievances, is secondary. Plot and characters – from old militants and books Gibson. Music – from Running along the blade. Gameplay – from Hotline Miami. That is, starting Disjunction, You must be prepared for the fact that it will not conquer any new heights for you. And if you do not have nostalgia for the old militants, and you have already fed Cyberpank as a genre in view of a certain operation of it recently, then the game may completely upset. Therefore, this is just a good game. Firmly made in almost all aspects, but not able to offer you something special.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided review. Undeservedly a failure

This is my pilot article, so I will welcome any constructive criticism and comments.
10 years ago Human Revolution introduced me to the previously unfamiliar genre of immersive sim – a mixture of RPG, Action and Stealth. I plunged headlong into the atmosphere of dark, alluring cyberpunk. A world on the verge of great discoveries, but raising doubts about the future.

A world where augmentations are compared to works of art – they look so sophisticated here, like jewelry. In addition, they complement and improve people’s capabilities: they make them faster, stronger, smarter.

Mankind Divided continues the ideas laid down back in 2000. This is a wonderful game that I gladly spent my hard-earned money and 40 hours of my life on. If in the case of HR I felt satisfaction at the end credits, I gained the experience of a unique, holistic work, then after passing MD I sat in bewilderment, as if I had been missing something.

The end is not the end

The finale of Human Revolution seemed to me to be closed, not requiring continuation, but the authors thought otherwise. The main character, Adam Jensen, survived the explosion in Panchaea, now he works for Interpol and fights terrorism and crime around the world. The main plot: in Prague there is a terrorist attack at the Ruzicka station, the culprits of which we will look for.

Adam, in parallel with his official work, became a double agent, collaborating with the Juggernaut collective, a global cyber-terrorist organization (ironically), whose goal is to fight the Illuminati. And this, as it were, should add spice to the plot, but is it a joke, I only remember the plot. What follows is a cycle of people and locations that do not particularly motivate one to be interested in what is happening.

It’s not the plot that keeps you hooked on the game, but something else.

Fear and Loathing in Prague

The capital of the Czech Republic, according to the plot, is also the capital of discrimination against augmented people: there are police all around, there is the lower part of the city, where Augs (as augmented people are called in the world of the game), drug addicts and other marginalized individuals eke out an existence. Upper Prague is the opposite: “clean” people, without augmentations, order and tranquility all around.

There are so many secrets https://luckynikicasino.co.uk/login/ in Prague that you need to spend at least 3-4 hours just exploring the city. And this is rewarded with money, resources and interesting quests.

Not united by Prague

In addition to the Czech Republic, we will visit several more locations in the story, among which the city of Golem stands out.

As beautiful as it is ugly – this city for the outcasts, assembled from garbage and tires. Reading the notes of the people living here makes me feel uneasy. This is a real ghetto, reminiscent of those from real history. But the local population does not lose heart, they are looking for an opportunity to get out of here and return to normal life.

I spent two evenings exploring every corner of this unique place, I didn’t want to leave here without exploring everything to the smallest detail.

Secondary = main

The sidequests in the game are developed no worse than the main plot, somewhere at the level of the third "The Witcher". I won’t spoil it, I’ll just say that the lion’s share is tied to detective investigations. It’s good, I don’t recommend skipping it.

Please note! According to the story, when you leave the OG29 headquarters and see the explosion, look for a glitchy advertising display. Many people do not notice this task, although it is interesting and sheds light on some important events

iAug 2.0

The comparison with the iPhone is not accidental: the new augmentations have added convenience, but they don’t radically change the weather; when passing the game, a set of old ones was enough for me. Just like an iPhone, yeah. But it is necessary to show that the authors worked, pored over, so that there was something to pay money for for a brand new Deus Ex. We are still pumping up stealth, combat skills, hacking, resistance to external factors (electricity, gas, falling from a height, etc.).d.).This issue was approached very carefully so as not to break past developments.

Ventilation Warrior

Personally, I played through the game in stealth, stunning enemies if necessary, but no kills. Even though these are computer dummies, we are immersed in the role of an operative guarding citizens, which means we have no need for murder. What I’ve always loved about the series (even invisible war) is its respect for the player. We are not led by the hand to the goal. Achieve it however you want. If you want, go ahead in Terminator style. Or you can walk in the style of a pacifist ghost. And also a cool hacker. And also a cold-blooded ninja. Yes, whatever! There are a lot of variations, each Deus Ex has its own.

Design, atmosphere.

The HR atmosphere was different. Let’s start with the fact that the authors were inspired by the anime "Ghost in the Shell" and this can be felt in the design of robots, clothes and much more. Black and gold tones and elements of the Renaissance added uniqueness, creating just the same feeling of anticipation of vague but significant changes.

MD has a completely different aesthetic: the design has become more monumental, angular, golden shades have faded into the background, there are gloomy notes of the original Deus Ex from 2000 with its grayness, reminiscent of RoboCop.

The authors have successfully made the transition to the design of the original, but at the same time there is a slight trail from HR, so as not to alienate players with a sudden change in design.

Fly in the ointment

Just as it is now customary to criticize Cyberpunk 2077, in 2016 it was popular to throw mud at Mankind Divided. The complaints are standard: bugs, poor optimization, microtransactions and something else (more on that later). In my opinion, the criticism of bugs is greatly exaggerated. The vast majority are always corrected, it’s worth showing a little patience. As of 2021, bugs are kept to a minimum; I only encountered a couple of crashes throughout the entire game.Optimization leaves much to be desired. Even on powerful machines with MSAA enabled, the game may stutter. Graphically the game is inferior to Crysis 3 or Battlefield 4, but overall the picture is acceptable.Microtransactions are generally an optional thing, no one forces it on you. Since I purchased the Deluxe edition, all the goodies came right away. As far as I know, at the start players were offered to buy “praxis” kits for faster upgrades. Even so, the game is great even without starting bonuses.

To be continued

The only real flaw that made me burn was the broken ending. Just imagine if you are playing GTA 5 or The Witcher and the plot ends mid-game, hinting at a sequel. This is exactly the situation here. This does not do the project any credit, many complain that because of this the game feels like DLC for Human Revolution. And I can understand these people. I never liked such things and the last thing I wanted was to see something like this in my favorite series of games.

Bottom line. Well-deserved failure?

Publisher Square Enix has frozen the series due to low sales. As I already said, the bugs have been fixed, optimization and microtransactions can be forgiven, even a crumpled finale and a mediocre plot can be overlooked, as long as a new high-quality part of the series is released, which is not worth expecting in the near future.Haters branded an excellent game, casuals are not interested in your “deusex”, and conservatives supported the haters, and so they decided. The outcome was this.Yes, the game has few locations, a weak plot, only one boss. Nevertheless, I think Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is an excellent game, even if in some ways it is inferior to its predecessor. Nothing is perfect, so you want to close your eyes to imperfections, just like in any thing/person you love. There remains hope that the success of Cyberpunk 2077 will serve as food for thought for the bosses of Square Enix and we will see both the ending of Adam Jensen’s story and the subsequent worthy parts of the series.

Crysis 2 demo review

Hi all.
Today I would like to tell you about the game that was released recently, or to be more precise on March 1st Crysis 2 Demo Multiplayer. Before the demo was released, I played and even reviewed the game Crysis 2, but I was disappointed by this beta. But when I launched the demo, I saw a completely different game, but I’m not saying that the beta and demo are so different from each other, but the changes are obvious. Firstly, the graphics have become better, maybe due to the inclusion of DirectX 10 in the demo package, and I didn’t notice any lags. The game ran on hardcore settings at a resolution of 1360×768, and there is no need to say that this screen resolution is not enough to evaluate the graphics, since this resolution can be classified as HD quality.

Now let’s move on to the start of the demo. The interface remains the same. Didn’t notice any significant changes. After the introductory videos, a login window appeared. I, of course, registered and logged in. I had no problems logging in. I just saw threads here about login and registration problems, but for me it all happened the first time without any problems. And now about the cards. There are only 2 maps in this demo: Skyline and Pier 17.
I liked both cards. I have played many online shooters, one of which was Call of Duty Black Ops. I played KOD without stopping, reached prestige 7, but then I got so tired of the Christmas tree-sticks that I don’t even have the desire to start this toy right now, but I’ll buy Crysis for sure, since I really liked the gameplay of this game. Quite a large space, freedom of action, many possibilities and other features make me think about buying this toy.
In the game 12 maps and 6 game modes await you. Each card has its own twist. I can’t say about all the maps, but the 2 maps I played were very well designed. At least there is balance in the game. I only played two modes: Crash Time and Team Battle. The essence of the Crash Time mode is that you need to defend points. These points are distributed randomly during the game. An alien ship drops some kind of box from the sky, and we need to protect it, or vice versa. This mode is similar to the Headquarters mode in Call of Duty Black Ops. I can’t say anything about the other modes since I haven’t played them. In the demo there are 10 levels, since I reached the 10th level and could not level up further, since the experience was not added.

In the demo I saw 4 https://fusionbetscasino.co.uk/withdrawal/ types of weapons. This is an assault weapon (machine gun), a shotgun, well, naturally a sniper (how could we do without it) and a machine gunner. I personally prefer to play as a stormtrooper. Why? But because machine gunners are generally impossible to play. Moreover, the rate of fire is poor, and the main character’s movement speed becomes several times slower, which makes it difficult to maneuver. A shotgun is good in close combat, but not always. I didn’t like the sniper at all. As in many games, one shot from a sniper is enough to kill, but this is not the case. You need to hit it at least 2 times, but that doesn’t suit you. The assault rifle is an all-rounder. And the accuracy is good, and the speed of movement does not decrease, unlike the machine gunner, and the view is not bad). Also, as in many shooters, you can put all sorts of things on weapons, like a colliery sight (or whatever it is called).

As in the previous part, the nanosuit has the same properties, namely the suit is equipped with the following modes: Invisibility, Armor, Super jump and Binoculars and thermal imager). Managing them is much easier than in the 1st part. For example, if I want to use a super jump, then I have to hold down the spacebar and that’s it, if I want to become invisible, then I press one button (E), rather than switching to the mode, and then back. Running too. I hold down the Shift key and that’s it)). By the way, when you turn on Armor mode, your movement speed decreases sharply. Just imagine, if you pick up a machine gun and turn on the armor mode, what will happen to you))). The game also has perks, medals, icons, etc.d. In the demo I saw only 3 perks:
Maximum Radar — shows all enemies on the map (3 kills)
Orbital Strike – the area marked on the map is burned by an alien ship (5 kills)
Ceph Strike — An alien ship begins to spin in the sky and begins to kill opponents. (7 kills)
To activate these perks you need kills, but not really. It’s a little different here. After a kill, a medal drops out next to the corpse (or who knows what it is). Only after picking it up, you are awarded 1 point for perks.

There are many advantages in this game, but how can there be no disadvantages??))
Yesterday I played in a team where there was 1 person. That is, we played 2 on 5. And it was impossible to get to the other side. And I had to play like this until the end. But where I am, there is victory accordingly)) In short, an excellent shooter, more interesting than Black Ops, and I advise everyone to buy it and play it together) Lastly, I want to show you a gameplay video, in which, naturally, I took part. Review Cits: Skylines – Sim City successions

CITIES: Skylines is the "spiritual heiress" of the urban planning series SIM CITY. However, she is also the heiress of Cits in Motion – the previous series from developers from Colossal Order. This is already felt at least in how many possibilities for driving here.

Roads can be built in any direction, and not in 4-8 and as in SIM CITY. And at any height, if you want to build a bridge or lay one highway above another. On the roads there is an opportunity to switch traffic lights, install booths for collecting a fee, lay routes for public transport – and all this even without complementing Mass Transit, where there are even more options. And most importantly – residential, industrial and commercial zones (standard for the genre) are marked exclusively next to the road.

All roads lead to the city

Unlike SIM City, where you subsidize the construction of buildings when you indicate where to place which area, in SkyLines, when marking the quarters, they do not take anything from you. When residents come to the residential quarter, their houses are being built themselves, at their expense. The same with the industrial zone – with the difference that factories are being built there, providing the population with jobs and bringing part of the income. And the commercial zone is a place for shops where the inhabitants are boiled, and someone works the same way as in factories.

However, you still can’t do without investment. Everywhere it is necessary to conduct electricity, sewage, water supply. By the way, for the last two pipes are laid together. The main thing is that the water intake station itself is away from the drain of wastewater, and above (yes, the current is taken into account!). Well, and the monthly expenses for maintaining services must be monitored.

And when the people will increase and the city will grow up, you can already build a school, so that the new generation skillfully work skillfully to work not only with loaders and sellers in department stores. As well as a landfill and hospital.

Upon reaching the next limit of residents, the police and the fire department are unlocked. At the fourth level, it becomes possible to divide the city into areas and establish special rules in them. To oblige residents to save electricity, for example, to specialize industry for agriculture. And so on.

As the city grows, not only new buildings open, but also diagrams with cards, and even various budget settings. In principle, I am not very clear why the mayor is forbidden to change the tax at first. But from a game point of view, an approach with a gradual increase in opportunities will help beginners not get confused in the system.

What the residents want?

Although the puncture came out just by information regimes – they cannot be activated at the same time. That is, for example, it is impossible to immediately display on the map ordinary pollution and noise. Design the living area? Be kind separately, so that your inhabitants and smoke from the factory do not inhale and from the noise of an environmentally friendly chickenpox are not deaf.

The same thing when marking areas. I https://goatspinscasino.co.uk/login/ somehow arranged all three types of zones along one street, so I had to switch the zoning mode several times to draw borders exactly between the industrial zone and shops. And so that the housing is in a separate area, where I later introduced water savings. Since the pumping station was at the limit, and there was not enough money in the budget yet.

Although it may not be worth introducing such a policy, because due to water meters I also had to pay from the budget. On the other hand, if he had not entered, there would be complaints about the lack of water. And by that time I also raised taxes. Suddenly it would be a “last straw”, after which there would be a mass departure?

The consequences of their decisions can not be felt at once. So starting serious development, always have at least several thousand in stock. To adjust everything you need, if that, and in minus, do not leave.
In general, as in Sim City – the eye and the eye are needed for the needs of the townspeople. True, and this function is not everything smooth either. By clicking on the house, you can find out the age and education of the residents, but not their place of work (or the absence of one). For detailed information, you need to “catch” an individual person or his car on the street. And only there you can call an information window with all the data – who is, where it goes and so on.

In case you have not guessed – CITIES: SkyLines really simulates the lives of all people and transport in the city. Maybe in a slightly simplified form, but nevertheless, every “SI” lives on its own schedule – he goes to work, rests, goes shopping or bars. Когда случается пожар или преступление — машина соответствующей службы реально выезжает на место. And then criminals are also put in prison separately.

An ambulance car comes to the house. Behind the dead – hearse. Even a simple movement of goods from factories to store shelves – in Cits: SkyLines there are also production chains – also occurs through trucks of different sizes.

Kilometer sandbox

The game simulates not only city life, but also nature. Not that carefully, but for example, water flows are calculated in real time. Build a dam – the river will come out of the shores above. There may even be waterfalls on the map, from which you can get especially a lot of electricity.

The maximum card size is 17 by 17 kilometers. Although you always start with a “patch” at 1.9 to 1.9. Then, when your town develops to level 4, you can buy neighboring areas. Without modifications, however, the maximum number of zones is limited to the 9th (that is, in the end you are waiting for either a square of 5.7 by 5.7 or a more oblong area). However, the Steam workshop also contains mods for the maximum scale and generally content for every taste.

The game itself is extremely friendly to user creativity. Right in the main menu there is a separate “manager” where you can activate any modifications (like the one that makes the maximum card size available), types of buildings, graphic jewelry and even scripts for the game or camera.

You can not get into the modification discs and limit yourself to the built -in editors of the Asset – cards, buildings, cars, visual topics and much more. Although, to be honest, you can’t especially see the buildings – well, I put a poster or put a swing in the yard. They can’t even raise them higher, if necessary. So if you want to do something sophisticated, import a model from a real 3D editor in FBX format.

But road interchanges is really convenient to build in the editor. And the risk that you will lose a bunch of dough, if you make a mistake somewhere, no. You can always erase and lay. And then it remains just to add the result to the game.

Thanks to such openness, the workshop of the game has long been filled with everything that is possible. And well -known buildings, and maps of all major cities of the world (though there is only a landscape), and various scripts. There are even game preservations – among them there are recreated Moscow, London, Tokyo ..

Unfortunately, it was the sibs of Moscow that turned out to be “broken”, and it was not possible to load them. Anyway, bugs in Cits: SkyLines are very present. And I think that one of the reasons is now and then output DLC. Yes, they add interesting chips to the game, but given the complexity of all the relationships, “break” something in this process-just spit.

Full picture

Comparing City: Skylines with SIM City 4 (Well, what can I do if this is the last standing game of the series and it was the last to play it) I cannot but notice that SkyLines are still more oriented towards aesthetics. Yes, certain things in it are simulated extremely in detail, but this is precisely the simulation, not the simulator. It is made in order to make the life of your citizens look whole and logical, and not in order to bring the city model closer to reality.

Call to the player City: SkyLines practically does not leave. There are no nuances and a complex economy that you have to think about in SC4, planning the next area. Even the “regime of increased complexity” with increased expenses and reduced income will simply make you act more carefully and patiently wait until the funds accumulate. Another question is whether these difficulties are really needed?

Precisely because CS is primarily made for those who want to build a virtual city of dreams. Small and cozy or large -scale with all kinds of bells and whistles, filled with unique buildings or spread out among the picturesque area.

The simulation is complicated exactly so that you can enjoy the coherence of workers producing goods for export. And then look at how with the onset of night, quarters bloom hundreds of lights and residents hurry home or clubs (however, you need DLC for clubs).

Bring the camera closer to the ground to look at the citizens hurrying about your business. Click on the icon of the local Twitter in order to find out the last trends. Look at the sky of your city.

Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2 review

I have a habit of coming back even though I promised myself to never write reviews. I’m bad with this. But you probably don’t care. Let’s do without sentimentality: I’m back so you can downvote, I’m back so you can flood and troll in the comments. How can I deprive you of such pleasure?. So let’s get started. I completed Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2 and I want to talk about it. My psychologist sent me… although I don’t have a psychologist, and that guy on the street didn’t want to be one. But we’ll talk about that later.
Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2 is a game where you cling to a rock with thousands and thousands of ice axes, then accelerate, jump and shout “Aaaaa. "on another rock, you grab onto, start sliding into the abyss, and a friend grabs you, then booooooon down the slope on a snowmobile, after that you shoot at people from a drone, boom, and you’re an astronaut, various objects also fall on you, you jump, sometimes not successfully, but most often successfully, the jump on a rope ladder looks especially cool, and you fly away from Brazilians into the endless blue sky, avenging them for England’s loss to Brazil in the 1/4 finals of the 2002 World Cup. Oh yes, there is also extreme river rafting.

Seriously, I’m wondering why Call https://eth-casino.co.uk/withdrawal/ of Duty is coming out in the fall. In its spirit, idea, body and soul, it belongs to the glorious tribe of summer blockbusters, released at a time when the brains are melting from the heat, the holiday season, thinking and taking anything seriously is simply laziness. A good, serious plot is not important to you, cinema should not excite you, you go to the cinema in the summer to be entertained. And summer blockbusters are made for this. They are fast food, and not an exquisite dish from a chef in an expensive restaurant, exciting the special, delicate strings of the soul of aesthetic gourmets. What is fast food? This is a hefty dose of a taste enhancer, acting not on specific areas of the brain, but on everything at once, on certain primitive instincts and is comparable to a blow to the head with a sledgehammer, in contrast to a gourmet dish, which looks like an elegant, poisoned stiletto. This makes fast food delicious, but it doesn’t require you to strain your head, try to enjoy it, feel something of your own in this taste, at least it’s stupid and it’s dangerous to abuse it, it spoils the taste. The summer blockbuster hides its useless, most often stupid, plot behind a mass of special effects and the pretty face of the actress. It’s great entertainment, you like it, but you forget about it soon after leaving the cinema and have no desire to watch it again. For what? There are no subtleties of the plot, nuances of acting, it is disposable, like a syringe. And exactly the same, ideological brother – Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2. It disguises the fact that it is a wretched corridor shooting gallery behind a heavy dose of scripts and a mass of opponents. It’s interesting how Polish developers haven’t realized this yet? Any level is a corridor filled with objects and your task is to pass it bypassing opponents. It’s boring. Case in point: Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. But the scripts take the whole game away, the scripts are worth playing through this game for, they are the cornerstone of the gameplay and make it incredibly similar to a good Hollywood movie. The snowmobile and the boat, all these jumps, especially the unsuccessful one in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, when you are left without a weapon and have to be thrown away from a crowd of armed rebels – this scene is magnificent, it keeps you on the edge. The scripted scenes are very good, but it’s difficult to describe them, and there’s no point, try describing the scene from Die Hard 4, when Bruce Ulysses shoots down a helicopter with his car, so that the reader understands that this is cool. This is from the series, try it yourself. The scripts are remembered after the game and sink into the soul, because the rest is horror.

Infinity Ward is not so merciful as to invite into the game that guy called Realism, who is homeless near their office and lives in a cardboard box from under the refrigerator. The protagonist cheerfully withstands a couple of clips, auto-regeneration works hard so that God forbid, the player screws up at some point. It would be cool if such a thing existed in the real world – I broke my arm, crawled into a corner for five minutes and there was no longer a fracture. The enemy’s intelligence does not simulate the desire to die, but in fact they are all suicidal people who want to commit group suicide. Not dangerous even in open areas.(I played on ordinary, it seems that playing on hard is contrary to the spirit of the game). In the fresh air you need to know where to run and opponents are no longer dangerous. True, you only get an understanding of where to run after a couple of Deaths, but thanks to the convenient autosave system, this is not annoying. Relax and have fun.

And the pleasure of a variety of weapons. Such wild, varied weapons among the soldiers definitely cause horror in the quartermasters and a strong desire to put a bullet in their forehead. There are a lot of weapons. So many. You don’t even need that much, I don’t know if they differ in characteristics or just in appearance. You don’t need to know this. Usually the battlefield is densely strewn with them, as if someone decided to plant machine guns instead of grains. Weapons from different countries, shapes and types. Because of this, regular troops resemble gangster gangs, each soldier is armed with anything, as if they were purchasing from the nearest arms dealer, from a cheerful black man from a van. A variety of add-ons and trinkets are attached to the weapon, from a completely useless heartbeat sensor, a thermal imager and an under-barrel shotgun to three or four types of sights. Why so much? I don’t understand. Probably because we have a “Real War”.
The single is weak, but the multiplayer is strong. Interesting thing. Call of Duty is evolving from a single-player game into a multiplayer one. I wouldn’t be surprised if they abandon it in subsequent parts. In Black ops, the single-player mode already looks like a useless atavism, unlike Battlefield, where a single player appeared. Game series, like living beings, evolve. Call of Duty falls under the general trend of going online, when at the end of the 2000s the Internet spread and penetrated our lives to such an extent that we can no longer imagine our lives without it. Give us everything with Internet access – from a coffee maker to a washing machine. And a game aimed only at single player will not be as successful as a game with strong multiplayer. A game aimed at online is more profitable, it is impossible to beat it, it may still bring in money years after release. Maybe this is the answer? But let’s return to Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2. The single is weak, but you can go through it once and you will get a lot of pleasure from it, I haven’t played multiplayer, but they still play it, which means it’s good (Nerds can’t be wrong). The single is a scary friend, against which the multiplayer looks even better and more beautiful. But Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2 is worth playing. You won’t regret it. Bye, it’s time for me to leave.
-What about the plot??
— Budget? Big and sold well, Infinity Ward is swimming in money.
– No, the plot. What’s up with the plot??
-What’s with the cuff?? I don’t wear cuffs. You’re delusional.
-No, the plot. Plot. Plot.
-Will burn? Who are you going to burn?? I’m not going to listen to your nonsense. Goodbye.

Review of Beyond Good and Evil

I count myself among those who have been waiting for a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil for a good 15 years, among those who have replayed the original more than a dozen times, and also among those who doubt that Michel Ancel’s ambitions will come true and he will be able to surpass the level of the original, not to mention bring the game to release, because as everyone knows, the sequel was already announced in 2008, and it was a direct sequel to BGE, a little later they even showed the gameplay of the alpha version, but after that the game simply disappeared from the radar. In 2017, we were given a cinematic trailer for a prequel to the story about the adventures of the cute girl Jade and her uncle Page, and a year later, we were baffled by the appearance of the protagonist in the E3 trailer. Some say that this is a “younger Jade,” although in the original she was clearly very young, some believe that this is the mother of the main character, but then Page would be younger, which you cannot tell from his appearance in the prequel. But somehow I’m completely distracted from the point, because this is not analysis and analysis of trailers death strand beyond good and evil 2, but an attempt to write my first review of a timeless classic. Well, let’s get started.

The game begins with a news https://lionslotsonlinecasino.co.uk/login/ release in which the presenter declares that war has come to the planet Hyllia, after which a decisive and confident voice declares that the Alpha Corps will always stand guard over order and the protection of citizens, then we are shown a scene of the main character meditating at a lighthouse on the shore of a small island. As usually happens, something went wrong and now the planet is under attack from alien creatures DomTs (in the original DomZ). Jade, being a kind of guardian of children and the head of a local orphanage, owes electricity, so the protective shield cannot be turned on and she has to fight monsters who have taken control of the little inhabitants. After winning and saving the children, Jade falls into a hole, where she has to fight the boss, and we get to meet the second key character in the story: her uncle Page, who is half boar, half human, and, having defeated the enemy, we receive the meaningful “The sector has been cleared, you can leave the territory” from the aforementioned Alpha Corps, we get out to the lighthouse and immediately get on the news broadcast. Page, however, is far from optimistic, and states that if next time the defenders of the planet also “rush” to the rescue, then there will be no one left to save. The reporters and the Alpha Corps leave, after which Jade faints and wakes up inside the lighthouse, remembering how during the boss battle she saw a certain figure calling her “Shaunie”… This is the beginning of the storyline in Beyond Good And Evil.
There will be several plot twists along the way, but I don’t want to reveal them, because, firstly, this is not a retelling of the plot, and secondly, suddenly among those reading this review there will be someone who for some reason missed the project and wants to see all the intrigues of this project in person. I will only say that in some moments the game reveals real drama, which is quite unexpected to see from the author of the cheerful and carefree Rayman, perhaps that is why I loved the game so much and left a mark on my soul, forcing me to play through it at least once a year in order to again plunge into the atmosphere of the project and meet already familiar characters.

From a gameplay point of view, this is an adventure game, with a lot of stealth and less battles with enemies and bosses. Also, the heroes have access to a Hovercraft, in which they can move around small areas of the planet, shoot enemies, participate in races for pearls (the local currency for upgrading the vehicle), and at a certain point in the plot, even attach it to a spaceship and fly to the moon. In addition to all of the above, Jade has a camera that can be used to photograph the local fauna, for which the heroine will be showered with credits, which can be used to purchase a health upgrade, several types of first aid kits, as well as repair robots for Hovercraft. Plus, the camera becomes an integral plot attribute, since the main character becomes a reporter for the local opposition, and she needs to penetrate local “hot spots” and make photo reports from the scene of events. The gameplay of BGE is balanced, there are no too long stealth missions or too difficult battles, and the main emphasis is on the plot, which, although it does not claim to be brilliant (Metal Gear Solid 2 had already been released at that time), but keeps you on the screen until the final credits, and the scene after them gives a direct hint at the continuation that fans have been waiting for too long.

Graphically, the project looks nice for those years, and still does not cause rejection with its picture. The game supports FullHD resolution, has a very extensive set of settings and runs smoothly on modern computers, although not without reservations; in some scenes, instead of a line of dialogue of the hero, the sound sometimes jams on one word, or even turns into such a cacophony of interference and noise, as if Doctor Who decided to once again stun the Daleks with his sonic screwdriver, although, perhaps, only I encountered this problem.
The soundtrack in the game is amazing, the main theme is still recognizable to this day, and some tracks from particularly dramatic moments still hang in the playlist and make you want to listen to them in a special mood.

In conclusion, I would like to return to the topic of continuation. Michel Ancel knows how to make quality games, he has a sense of style, and thanks to BGE, he has faith that he can deliver an interesting, exciting and dramatic story, but his ambitions are a little scary. In the sequel, he promised an “absolutely living open world” with procedural generation of planets, while on each planet it would always be possible to find something, but all these promises are reminiscent of another game, No Mans Sky – a lot was also promised, but none of this turned out to be at release, even though the game was “fixed” two years later, but the residue, as they say, remained. Plus, the decision to involve fans in development, including writing the soundtrack, art, and other things, seems very strange. That is, it is certainly cool that anyone can become involved in this project, but it is also a sign that the developers do not have enough of their own resources to develop such an ambitious project. In addition, there is no news from Ansel regarding his other project – WILD, which was announced at the Sony conference at Paris Games Week in 2015, after which it disappeared from the radar. On Twitter, Michel recently confirmed that he is still working on WILD, which makes him doubly afraid for the continuation of BGE, since it is very difficult to pull off the development of two large projects at once, and therefore it is difficult to believe in the imminent release of either of these two games. Yes, and looking at the concept of BGE2, you involuntarily begin to doubt that at the end we will get a game that is even remotely similar to the original, which only intensifies concerns about the project. Michel Ancel initially conceived the Beyond Good And Evil series as a trilogy and now everything will depend on the sales of the second part, if by some miracle it does come out. The first one, by the way, sold very poorly, despite the fact that critics greeted the game warmly. We can only reassure ourselves that we have been waiting for the continuation for 15 years, and another two or three years will not change the weather, and if the developers manage to realize all their ideas, then the series has a chance to become more popular. We can only hope that if successful, we won’t have to wait almost another 20 years for the third part.

[Deadbolt review] Another night, another ride

Okay, poetry is not my strong point, but if our in-game employer does it every mission, then I should have tried it too. In general, it’s funny, but the game, which tells the story of the undead returned to the sinful earth (if it really is earth), has recently found a kind of second wind. Memes are starting to be made about it more often, people remember it and, what about the skating rink in deadbolt, m? I propose to figure out how Deadbolt was good then, and how interesting is it now?

Let’s start with the classics with the plot. There isn’t much of it here, but considering that the game takes about four to five hours to complete, it’s not surprising. At the same time, let’s immediately understand the issue of duration. The player is given control Reaper, the same one as Reaper, which is an old woman with a scythe, although it doesn’t seem very similar to the latter. And he goes about his immediate tasks, with the only exception that he has to send to the next world not the living, but the already dead, who for some reason remained on this side. These include zombies, vampires and other nocturnal creatures.

And each type of undead in this game represents its own criminal group with its own characteristics and characteristics, in which one can still discern, for example, the features of the Yakuza or street gangs. Because of this, on the dark streets of a certain city N, a completely familiar story of criminal showdowns unfolds, but in the surroundings of the world of darkness, where the reaper is essentially an assassin receiving an order from a certain fireplace. I mean, literally from the fireplace, sitting behind a cozy chair. Therefore, the plot is more of a rationale for the murders, while the lore has a little more meaning. After all, despite its secondary nature, there is room to delve into it.

An attentive player will be able to easily create a holistic picture of the world and find out, for example, that a person can be reborn as a zombie if he dies from an overdose. Or why it is so important that the Reaper is reflected in the mirror. Maybe. And you will mainly have to look for answers either sitting at the fireplace, this is almost the only way to conduct a dialogue, or by catching tapes telling their backstory from the corpses of enemies. Quite interestingly presented in a video of an internal voice. Many questions arise during the passage, but, what is important, it is not necessary to look for answers to them. True, unfortunately, you are unlikely to be able to find answers to everything. In general, there is a possibility that any lore in the game was added for fun, because some moments seem too forced, but let’s not talk about that. The main thing is that the game does not let you distract you from the gameplay too much and we will dwell on this in more detail.

On paper, which is represented by https://slotshubcasino.co.uk/withdrawal/ the description on Steam, Deadbolt is a stealth action game. In common parlance – Hotline Miami with a side view. And, in general, the comparison is very accurate. Only instead of a telephone we have a fireplace, and as a silent killer – literal the embodiment of death, which still dies in one shot. Although the Reaper will still be more talkative than Jacket. However, the catch lies in the word stealth, which you might not have noticed. Because this completely changes the rhythm of the game. It’s hard to call Deadbolt a purebred stealth game, because it’s intended to rather change the approach to adrenaline-fueled carnage, which this time will have to be done with the lights off. You won’t be able to hide from your opponents using cover or eliminate all targets without disturbing anyone. No, you will still have to shoot in both directions as expected, but you will have to do it slowly and preferably at the head.

Getting some of these achievements is a real pain. Thank you at least for the fact that they pay for them in local currency.

And this is the main obstacle for most new players, because the developers do not encourage rushing unless you want to get the speedrunner achievement (but you definitely won’t do this on your first playthrough). Yes, sometimes you will have to run, but you must act as accurately as possible, waiting for the enemy so that he approaches you exactly at that moment, so that you definitely kill him in the head after opening the door, exactly according to your plan. And many factors contribute to this. Let’s start with the fact that there are not enough cartridges at the level and if you shoot a burst at everything that moves, you can easily land in a puddle, because until you buy yourself a scythe, you won’t be able to save even on close combat. And this is also facilitated by the fact that while the main character can die from a weak hit, some of his enemies can almost eat up a clip.

Also, animations are quite important – it takes some time for the enemy to take out a gun or for the player to climb into the ventilation. At first you don’t notice it, but when you understand how timings work, you begin to act strictly according to them. Oh yes, ventilation. In addition to the fact that the main character sees in the dark and can run silently, his main ability is the ability to move through ventilation in a haze. This is your main advantage, and only this mechanic takes out almost all of the stealth, especially considering that there are not enough weapons with a silencer here. Thus, Deadbolt develops its… Let’s say, philosophy, according to which you play more like Hitman, if he was engaged in sweeps, than like the Miami Ripper, which we are all familiar with. And at first it’s difficult to get used to such a rhythm, which is why the game may seem quite complicated, but I assure you that you learn very quickly here.

The developers have tried very hard to ensure that every element of the gameplay here works as it should, and in addition to the mechanics, this can be seen in the level design, which, despite the only two goals "kill or see" are constantly trying to diversify their structure. There are timed levels, sniper fights and constantly adding new enemies. Probably every three levels someone new appears. The only thing that seems a little unnecessary here is the shelters. Of course, it’s better with them than without them, but it seems to me that they only exist in the case when you didn’t have time to kill the enemy in the head, and you don’t want to restart the level. There are only a couple of moments throughout the entire game where they can really come in handy, but otherwise you can do without them. But, on the other hand, opponents also actively use them and… it doesn’t really help them either, so let’s skip cover.

And let’s talk about the local soundtrack, because it’s absolutely amazing. It is very different from what we are used to hearing in similar games and what we still hear. It’s slower, a little noirish and has a horror feel to it. This music suits the game just perfectly. And, most importantly, it suits the local tempo perfectly. Chris Christodoulou (Chris Christodoulou) did a simply amazing job, because its soundtrack is perfect for both a noisy club and the cozy apartment of the main character. I advise those interested to even look at his comments on the creation on YouTube, if their knowledge of English allows.

Well, a few words about our apartments. This is your safe zone. Here you can listen, or rather read, the tapes found, here you receive and select missions, and also buy equipment for the souls of defeated enemies, for which you will have to go down to the pier to Charon, who is transporting us weapons from the other world. In general, there’s not that much to do here, but it’s interesting to watch how, as the game progresses, the hero’s apartment becomes a little more comfortable and, for example, how he gets a cat. The cat is important.

The game has, probably already obligatory, the ability to start a new game +. However, in addition to increased difficulty, it also provides another nice bonus for lore lovers

So why is Deadbolt so good?? Because this is a stealth action game that is meticulous to the smallest detail, where every detail is in its place. Yes, you may not notice it, but this game is literally made according to a ruler, where everything is in its place. Well, after the four hours that it takes you will want even more. In this case, a good option would be to contact the level editor. True, there is not as much variety here as in the editor of Hotline Miami 2, but you can add a couple of hours to your passage. Yes, and you will probably want to replay it. So if you ever missed the opportunity to play as the otherworldly John Wick, then doing it on Halloween would be a great idea.

Conclusion: if you ever missed Deadbolt, now is the time to catch up, because it’s worth it.
